Upcycling
Ahh yes, upcycling okay okay, so listen now, is like recycling, yes? But with attitude. Not just throw old thing in blue bin and hope it come back as new shampoo bottle no no, upcycling is much more... how you say... passionate, dramatic, full of life again.
So you take something what maybe people think is done maybe old jacket, weird lamp, broken chair, sock with only dreams left and instead of tossing to the bin monster, you say “No! I see potential!” You look at trash and say “You will be ART now.”
And then what happen? You cut, glue, stitch, cry a bit, maybe staple it wrong first time, but then boom you made something better than before. Not just fixed, not just reused it’s reimagined, like the item went through spiritual awakening and now it’s punk rock and knows its worth.
Like old denim jeans become cool patchwork skirt with flames on it. Or bicycle wheel becomes coffee table for weird flat in Limerick. It’s not perfect it’s personal. Maybe one leg longer than other. That’s fine! That’s style, friend.
So yes, upcycling it’s saving the planet one fabulous Frankenstein creation at a time. Trash, but make it fashion. That’s the magic.
